James Rawes Violins is the website of a highly skilled violin maker based near Carlisle in Cumbria. James repairs violins and 'cellos and makes beautiful new intruments for the professional performer. He also imports cheaper instruments suitable for students and children to learn to play.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Culgaith Parish Website This is the webite of a group of villages in the Cross Fell area of Cumbria. The site is quite new but a lot of interest has been shown so that local businesses, events and amenities are represented. After the initial set-up period the input to the site will be maintained using Macromedia Contribute 3, software that makes maintaining the site extremely easy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Andrew Padmore is an international conductor and choral trainer based in Leeds. He musical director of the Harrogate Choral Socirty and resident conductor and artistic director of the Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir. In the orchestral sphere he is particularly well known in the U.K. for conducting summer outdoor performances of "Last Night of the Proms" type concerts attracting audiences of many thousands. As a choral conductor he is frequently booked to conduct the major choral repertoire with choral societies throughout the U.K. and abroad.

 

 

 

Langwathby Scarecrow Festival This site publicises the Biennial Festival at Langwathby - a village in the lovely Eden Valley in Cumbria, where they hold a regular Scarecrow Festival weekend. Most of the villagers get involved in what has become a highly competitive event sponsored by local and national firms, to raise money for charitable and local causes. In recent years it has attracted visitors to the village from considerable distances.

Music Matters is a site to publicise music courses run for amateur musicians in the Yorkshire area. Based in Barnsley it runs courses both throughout Yorkshire and other areas aimed at singers and young musicians. The accent is on acquiring new and improved musical skills but always with an eye to enjoyment and fun.
